Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaimed the good news of His salvation from day-to-day. 1 Chronicles 16:23
Singing, humming, whistling.... I see these all as outward signs of a heart that is at peace. When I hear my wife walking around the house singing softly to herself I know she is in a good place mentally.
Studies suggest that singing may trigger the release of endorphins and lower stress hormones, contributing to emotional well-being.
When we meditate on and proclaim the good news of God's salvation, it puts a song in our hearts. When we understand God pursues us, and wants us to enjoy His salvation, how can we not have a song in our heart?
Proverbs 17:22 says a merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
It's no wonder that worship is our weapon. It drives away doubt and fear. When we shift our focus to the salvation of God and quietly make melody in our hearts, and sing to the Lord, we indeed get a sense of well-being. A peace that flows over us. Truly a peace that passes all understanding.
I pray that today whatever your hands may be doing, your heart would reflect on the salvation of God. I pray you would have a song in your heart, that a sense of well-being would flood your soul.
