6/24/25

The news had come to the royal court of Judah: "Syria is allied with Israel against us!" So the hearts of the King and his people trembled with fear, like trees shaking in a storm. Isaiah 7:2

Fear will tell you that you're not good enough.

Fear will tell you that you're not right.

Fear will tell you you're not strong enough, to put up a good fight.

Fear will tell you you're not worthy.

Fear will tell you you're not loved.

Fear will tell you you're not beautiful.

Fear will tell you you'll never be enough.

Fear is a liar, it will take your breath away, stop you in your steps.

Fear is a liar that will rob you of your rest, steal your happiness.

Cast your fear in the fire cause fear, he is a liar!

God told Isaiah to take his son and go talk to the king of Judah. Tell him he doesn't need to fear the fierce anger of those two burned-out embers, yes it is true they are plotting to come against you but this is what the sovereign Lord says: this invasion will never happen; it will never take place; they will be crushed and completely destroyed.

Then he said something interesting to the king. "Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm."

What is fear telling you today? Whose voice is the loudest, fear or faith? God cannot make you stand firm if you're listening to fear rather than having faith.

Heavenly Father I pray today that we all will cast fear into the fire and have faith. Help us to recognize the lies fear is telling us and replace it with the truth of Your word. What we're facing may be real, but we have a choice, fear or faith.

In Jesus name AMEN.
