Now someone may argue, "Some people have faith; others have good deeds." But I say, "How can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds." James 2:18
Heavenly Father my devotional this morning asked the question, "As a Christian why does it make sense that faith should always 'work together' with actions?" As I think about that question it only makes sense because the love mentioned in John 3:16 was followed by the action of John 19:17 which says "And He bearing His cross, went to a place called the Place of the Skull, Where they crucified Him...
Your love is always followed by action and so my love for You should also always be followed with action. Jesus showed Your love for us by dying on the cross for us so how could our love give anything less?
Some were arguing with James that belief is all one needs and to that he said even the Demons believe, and they tremble in terror...
Lord please help my faith today produce actions displayed by showing love for others. I am reminded of the verse that says "If you can't love those whom you can see, how can you love Him whom you can't see?" Lord please help me to not fall short in loving those I can see today. I pray in Jesus name. AMEN AMEN.
