Journal entry February 13, 2026

I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:1-3

Heavenly Father, some days I just desire to put Your word to song and lift up your praise. Today is one of those days. Extol comes from a Latin word meaning to lift up. So today I lift up my praise unto You my God and my King.

It seems this desire can be described as the deer panting for the water brook so my soul longs for Thee. It is not based on everything being perfect in my life but rather just an inward desire to commune with You, my holy God.

To sit at Your feet and bask in Your presence.

So Heavenly Father I bow before You in humble adoration today. I meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Thank you for being gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. Thank You for being good to all, and Your tender mercies which are over all Your works. All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, of which I am just one. All of Your creation speaks of the glory of Your kingdom, and reveals Your power. Your kingdom is everlasting and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. You uphold all those who fall, and raise up all who are bowed down. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. You are righteous and all Your ways, and gracious in all Your works. You are near to all who call upon You, to all who call upon You in truth. Thank You in Jesus name. AMEN
