Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words! 2 Corinthians 9:15

Lord just reading this verse alone we're left to wonder what is this gift that is too wonderful for words. Paul is actually speaking about the ministry of giving. When one shares freely and gives generously to the poor, their good deeds will be remembered forever.

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous... vs 10-11

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving Paul says. 1. The needs of the recipients will be met. 2. They will joyfully express their thanks to God. As a result of your giving ministry, they will give glory to God for your generosity to them and they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.

Paul says the gift that is too wonderful for words, are the prayers of others for you. Praying for others... Praying for God's abundant blessings upon them... Praying for their protection... Praying for their prosperity...Praising God on their behalf... "the gift to wonderful for words."

Wow Father, what light that sheds on the value of prayer and praise. Bringing others before You, praising You for them is a gift unto them. I really like that thought. Father I know that many have and are praying for me. What a precious gift they are giving. May I see prayer a little differently now as I pray for others. Thank You in Jesus name. AMEN.
