"Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name goes all the glory for Your unfailing love and faithfulness." Psalm 115:1

At some point in our lives we find that we are either a sower, a waterer, or a harvestor. Yet no matter which we do, God gets the glory.

The whole of some peoples lives they find themselves sowers. Easily becoming discouraged that nothing seems to be growing. If that is you, I encourage you today to look forward with faith, to a bountiful harvest. You may never get to see the harvest but rest assured it is coming.

Being a waterer can be equally discouraging. You hope the seed is actually there. You don't want to dig it up and risk damaging it, so you, with faith, continue to pour into it, again trusting that someday there will be a bountiful harvest.

Being a harvester is for sure the most encouraging but comes with it own struggles as well. Once you have harvested the crop, then what. Can the crop just be thrown into storage or does it need to find its purpose. There are many things that can cause the harvested crop to lose it's purpose and effectiveness. In some senses planting and watering is easier while perhaps less rewarding.

Today you may have loved ones into which you want to plant the seed. Pray for God to open the seed bed to recieve the seed. Perhaps the seed has been plantd and now comes the long wait while it is being watered and the sunshine is warming the soil.

Those times can test the patience for sure, but don't loose hope. In God's perfect timing it will sprout and begin to grow. Once it does it will have many question before it is ready to be harvested. The harvester must be prepared to answer those questions and inspect the crop to make sure there has been no infestation of deadly bugs.

At last the crop may be ready. Make sure you don't damage it as it is gently harvested. Pray for its protection and that it would quickly find its rightful place in the process of repeating itself. It must die and be replanted. So the process goes and God gets the glory for it all. We get the blessing of being used by God in His wonderful process. Of dying to self and living for Him.

I hope this encourages you today, no matter where you are in the process. Give glory to God. It's His seed, His sunshine and water, and His abundant crop. AMEN AMEN
