For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great king of all the earth. Psalm 47:2

Have you ever been in a season or even just a moment where you lost sight of God? The thoughts in your head ruled the moment. You were overthinking everything and it caused you to take your eyes off God, even for just a moment?

Like a child shopping with his mother who sees the toy isle and in an instant begins to take in the sight and let his mind run wild, only to realize his mother was no longer by his side. A sense of panic sets in and despair quickly follows. Then a bystander taking it all in, tells the little child your mom is right over there in the next isle.

Proverbs 15:23 says "and how good is a timely word!"

Last evening was one of those moments for me. My mind was consumed with the events of the day that hadn't gone just I had hoped. I found myself overthinking everything. "What ifs" and "perhaps I could haves" had caused me to lose sight of God. Then I received a text from a Christian brother... It read, "For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth."

Like smelling salts which snaps a person out of a stupor or state of semi consciousness, the clouds parted and I again caught sight of God, who was there the whole time. The right word at the right time helps us reset our perspective and sometimes that is exactly what we need.

Perhaps today you are in one of those seasons, or even just in a moment where you feel like you have lost sight of God. May today's verse be a reset for you. For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great King over all the earth.

Heavenly Father I thank you for the right word which You send at the right time. We all have times when we lose sight of You and need someone to reminds us You are right there. Thank you that panic and despair are temorary but You are eternal. I pray this is a word for someone today that comes at just the right time. In Jesus name. AMEN AMEN
