Have you ever longed to hear the voice of a loved one just one more time? Just to hear them say your name, one more time. Oh, what you would give to have them stand behind you and say your name..

Jesus said to her "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" which is the Hebrew word Teacher. John 20:16

Filled with jubilation she threw arms around Him! Moments before she had stood weeping outside the empty tomb. Stooping over to look inside. It wasn't enough that they had to kill him but now somebody had stolen his body! She was crushed.

My sheep know My voice and are known by Me. Oh, to hear the voice of our Savior. Can you hear Him right now saying your name? If you are troubled, do you hear Him saying "peace be with you?" If you are suffering, do you hear Him saying "I will never leave you nor forsake you?" Do you hear His invitation to come, give Him your burden and take His yoke upon you?Are you weary? Do you hear His voice saying come all you who are weary, I will give you rest?

He invites all to come, but to some His voice is not known. He is just another voice among all the other voices. But to His children, His sheep, His voice cuts through every other sound and is a welcome invitation. A longed for voice. We too want to cling to Him and never let go.

Lord we resonate with the disciples who said "where else would we go for it is You who have the words of life." Words of life and beauty, teach me faith and duty, beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life... Thank You Lord. AMEN
