Journal entry for January 12, 2026

Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. Genesis 14:19-20

Heavenly Father could there be a higher honor than to be claimed by You as Your own? The MOST High... The Possessor of heaven and earth.... What a declaration of Your sovereignty.

Abram was Yours not because he did anything that made him worthy to be called Yours, but simply because You called him out of his own country and he obeyed. You chose him and he responded in faith.

Abram was blessed by the king/priest of Salem, Melchizedek who foreshadowed Jesus. Hebrews described Jesus as a greater, eternal priest-king who came in the order of Melchizedek, offering true spiritual blessings.

Thank you Heavenly Father that by believing in Jesus I am given the right to be called a child of the Most High. What a name to wear proudly. "Blessed by the Most High." I am reminded again of what is in a name. You name things because Your are sovereign. The Devil gives labels because he himself is a created being. His labels tear down while the names You give instill worth and value.

Thank You for this reminder from Genesis this morning Lord. May I walk this day as a child of the Most High. May I bring honor and glory unto You . I pray in Jesus name. AMEN
