O Lord, our lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens.... When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Psalm 8:1,3-4

This Psalm is one that I committed to memory years ago. I like to think of it as my divine reset. It takes my eyes off of my circumstances and lifts them to the heavens where I am reminded of my smallness and God's majesty. It reminds me of where my help comes from. "My help comes from the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth." Psalm 12:2

It is easy and natural for us to get consumed with the issues of the day, we all have some pretty heavy stuff we are dealing with. But it is good to be reminded of our smallness in the scope of things, and that we are just vapors that appear today and are gone tommorrow. All of this shall pass and its good to be reminded that the Maker of the heavens is mindful of us. That He has prepared a place for us and the Way for us to get there.

Heavenly Father I pray that Psalm 8 would be the divine reset for others that it is for me. Truly when I consider the heavens the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have created… what is man that you are mindful of him? We are made in Your image and crowned with glory and honor Lord. Our help comes from You, the Maker of heaven and earth. I pray Father that no matter what others are going through today they would pause and read Psalm 8 and reset their perspective. Thank You that You are miundful of us and with us always. I pray in Jesus name. AMEN AMEN
