Wouldn't it be nice if every day you woke up and just felt the presence of God. Most days I do, but what do you do on the days when you don't? You go through your normal bible readings and yet you still don't sense His presence. You pray and yet the closeness you desire just isn't there...

Maybe its different for you. Maybe you don't have that problem. But for me I don't like just going through the motions of relationships, I like them to have depth and intimacy. To get past formality where real relationship is fleshed out.

So as I walked and talked with God I came to a place where I just sat down and quieted my heart and the words to "Worthy is the Lamb" came to mind and I began to sing them to the Lord.

Thank you for the cross, Lord

Thank you for the price You paid

Bearing all my sin and shame

In love You came

And gave amazing grace

Thank you for this love, Lord

Thank you for the nail pierced hands

Washed me in Your cleansing flow

Now all I know

Your forgiveness and embrace

1 Corinthians 1:18 "The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God."

Thank you Heavenly Father that some days I have to pursue You with a little more intention than others. It takes more to clear my head and quiet my heart, but when I do You are always there. This life is full of distractions and some days the clouds roll in and seem to hang around. But intimacey with You is worth waiting for and pursueing. I don't want to be lukewarm Lord in my love for You. Thank you for reminding me of the cross today and Your amazing love. In Jesus name. AMEN AMEN
