In our scripture reading today, God tells us what the "secret" to success is. I was curious what google had to say about the "secret to success," so here it is;
The “secret of success,” if there is one, is that success is brought about by a combination of smart habits, a tenacious spirit, and a whole lot of luck....
So 3 things: smart habits, a tenacious spirit, and a whole lot of luck. How close are they?
It doesn't seem like it's a secret at all. How do they compare?
Smart habits = Studying the Word of God
Tenacious spirit = Obeying what the Word says
Whole lot of luck = No luck involved
The slogan for bounty paper towels is, "the quicker picker upper." Perhaps that best encapsulates the idea of meditation. To quickly absorb and be saturated with the word of God. So much so, that it becomes second nature to apply it in our life. If you squeeze a saturated towel it can't help but release what it has soaked up.
There and we find the secret to success. No luck involved. Not chance or happenstance. Simply be saturated with the word of God so that when life squeezes us, His principles come flowing out. God's principles become our guiding light.
Lord, Joshua follows this instruction with a command. "Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." The beauty of meditation is that we're not filled with abstract thoughts and principles but with the very nature and character of You our God. It is not Your nature to be weak. It is not Your nature to be fearful. Help us today Lord to apply this principle for success, I pray in Jesus name. AMEN.

You r always so practical and such a good example to follow. Thanks for your ministry and love for us all.
