God has now revealed to us His mysterious will regarding Christ - which is to fulfill His own good plan: at the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ - everything in heaven and on earth. Ephesians 1:9–10

Luke 3:23-38 Records for us the genealogy of Jesus Christ. 77 generations are recorded all the way back to Seth the son of Adam, the son of God.

The story of God's work through Jesus did not begin in Bethlehem. This family tree demonstrates that the arrival of Jesus was the climax of a drama with a plotline as thick as the Old Testament itself. It was a story that began with God's work in creation where He made Adam, the first human being, in His own image. God orchestrated history so that His plans and promises would unfold generation after generation through Adam's race until the glorious goal was finally reached. Jesus has come at last to bring the story of creation and humanity to its fulfillment.

Pause to think with me this morning all those who have become sons and daughters of the Most High through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church, pushes forward. Even as groups like Boco Horan behead believers in Nigeria, the church grows in number and advances. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church.

Everything is coming together under the authority of Christ. Thousands are being added to the role, written in the Lambs Book of Life each day. "The gates of hell shall not prevail." Let's do our part. Let's be ambassador's for Christ. We know who wins. We know how the story ends. Our story is being written. Let's make it a good one.

Heavenly Father thank you so much that Jesus has come to bring the story of creation and humanity to its fulfillment. Thank you that the gates of hell will not prevail. There is such hope in that. We know how the story ends. Help us Lord to share the story with others. Jesus reigns! May He reign in our hearts today. AMEN. AMEN
