I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am - so much greater that I'm not even worthy to be His slave and untie the straps of His sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Luke 3:16

In the Scriptures fire is often use figuratively. Fire transforms all it touches into light and likeness of itself. God's Spirit, like a holy fire, enlightens and purifies so that believers can share more and more in His likeness. Indeed the fire of God brings the uninterrupted privilege of being transformed which happens by experiencing faith from Him. Our lives can become true offerings to Him as we obey this imparted faith from God by His power.

We've all experienced fire in a someway or another. Fire is transformational. It truly lights everything it touches. It is interesting that God uses fire to describe how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. Fire is passionate, energetic, driven and bold and leaves little doubt of its presence.

Heavenly Father may the evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives be evident to all. May it truly transform us into Your likeness, for Your glory. May we be passionate, energetic, driven and bold for you I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
